There is a product called DAX Plus 2 Shampoo (about $3.00) and it removes wax based products from your hair. I posted the link for you to look at it. You should be able to buy it at any hair care store like Sally's.

You can also try to put conditioner in it for a few minutes (like a deep conditioning) to loosen it up and then wash it out, wash your hair like normal with shampoo and then condition again. Nothing major, use what you have at home. Hope this helps
